Facebook Marketing Basics

“Say what? Use Facebook for my business? You’ve got to be kidding me!” These are the exact words my friends were telling me when I told them that we can use Facebook to promote any business. They said that I was dreaming, that Facebook is for socializing with friends, playing games or maybe even if you want to find a date but not for business. Well, look at Facebook now, it has become a great avenue for many businesses to thrive and even flourish through marketing this way.

But you do have to understand that it’s not as simple as that. You can’t use Facebook the way you use it for your personal life if you want to use it for business. You need a strong solid plan in order for any result to take place. This is not too hard, but it does take some commitment. So come on, let’s find out what you need to begin marketing through Facebook.

Using Facebook Paid Advertising

Do you need to use it? No, of course not. You don’t need to use paid ads to market on Facebook but of course if you have the budget, why not? But again, it’s not necessary, you can easily market on Facebook using simple and FREE steps.

How?

Create a Page

Well you need a page to send people to, so create a page for your business, not a personal account but a page, a business page.

Engage Your Audience

Talk to your fans. Anyone who bothered to like your page or even visit your page is a potential business. So talk to them, give them your time of day, you’ll be surprised at the results. Also, it will be nice if you upload pictures and images of your products, your business place and the likes, you’ll be happy to see that more people are more interested in a page that has pictures.

Now, that you’ve got your readers/audience engaged, they will begin to visit your page often, they will ask questions and you can answer that and begin promoting your product to you Facebook friends, getting them to join promotions, directing them to visit your site and the likes. You’ll see a lot of conversions from there.

That’s generally it! Imagine that! Stay tuned for more on Facebook marketing...
