- More so for community based website, you might want to involve your users. Getting feedback from them or running a poll maybe a good way to start.
- Also, it might be a good to keep the main elements of your site on the same place on your site and all functionalities remain the same. Just make sure that your website becomes easier not harder for your users to navigate.
- Beta Site! Allow your users to test your website, let them see your website as you envision it with your redesign and let them give you a some feedback and so you can improve your site (as you want it to) with your users involved they will learn to love your site more.

- Don’t change it straight away. Remember when facebook changed their layout and everyone was clamoring for the old one? This is generally the same thing. Allow your users to get used to the new layout first, let them use the old layout for a certain period and ease them into the new one
- Explain yourself. Before going on to changing the entirety of your website, let your users know your reason behind the change.
- Guide your users/visitors. Especially if you make a major revamp, it might be good to teach your users to learn to use the new site. A tutorial either in text or video is a good way to go.
- Now if after you have made changes and the changes failed, there’s no shame in going back. Especially if your users are clamoring for it. So it might be wise to get feedback from users if they like the new design or else you might find yourself with less users than before.
In the end, designing a website is never easy and so is redesigning it. It is best to get opinion of people that matter, your users! And see if the revamp is indeed necessary. If it is, then it will be wise to get their opinions on what changes needs to occur and if you get it, they will surely become loyal subscribers and will bring in more users in the end.
